I know I disappeared for ages I’m so sorry. Last year was pretty mad. Full of changes. I felt that I finally found some solid idea of what to do with my life, I thought I knew what I wanted… and then totally changed direction! It was both liberating and scary as once more I’m facing the unknown.
In September I went to Bali and had an incredible experience of learning energy healing, then spent 3 months back in England finishing the course and now I am qualified to practice. It’s such a big BIG topic I’m going to have to leave it for another post. Meanwhile, I started another life adventure which came around unexpected. Time to reveal my cards. I am becoming a yoga teacher!
I started to train as a yoga teacher back in October last year. And I’m so close to finishing, only two more exams and I will be qualified. I don’t remember ever planning to teach yoga, but then two random things happened. First of all, lots of people who I met for the first time kept asking me if I was a yoga teacher. Talking about planting a seed… And second of all, because of my personal practice I kept being asked to teach yoga which I started in March 2016 in Ayahuasca Healing Centre in the deep jungle outside of Iquitos, Peru and then at a festival later on that year in the UK. Both were absolutely insane experiences and I love how I didn’t plan any of it. Feels so good to be going with the flow!
The Yoga TT has been a lot of fun and a lot of work (more than I thought), but it’s rewarding and besides, I love learning. Plus I get to hang out with an amazing bunch of yogis every 2 weeks. Yes, we meet fortnightly (Friday night, full day on Saturday and Sunday) and we get homework too. I am training with Yoga London and the quality of classes and teachers are fantastic. I originally signed up for a 4-month course in September, but because I had the opportunity to go to Bali and to learn the energy healing I decided to switch, and I am so glad I did! Having a full time job and doing two courses at the same time was a bit over the top, I don’t think I could have handled the 4-month intensive yoga training with that.
I can’t wait to share everything I’ve learned with you and start teaching regular classes. I already know where it’s going to be and will announce the location next month, so stay tuned!
Have a beautiful day! Marina xx
